This plant is a slow grower but once it matures, it lives for decades. The plant grows eight to ten feet tall and has sharp needle like spines. It is known for its ability to filter out xylene. For optimal air filtering, NASA recommends planting one plant per 100 square feet in your home or any other space.

Abu Dhabi Date Palm Exhibition will be organised by the team behind the hugely successful B2C event for date fruit called the Emirates International Date Palm Festival, which has been running for 8 years.
Dates can last long depending on the storage condition. At room temperatures dates can last for about 2 months and under refrigerated conditions they last for about 12 months. Dates can be packed in an airtight container or sealed plastic bag so as to store them in a refrigerator for longer shelf life.
The fruit is an ancient cultivated food that has importance in Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and other tropical to subtropical areas. Cultivar choice and zone are important information when considering how to grow date trees. There are varieties with some cold tolerance, but they rarely bear fruit. Learn how to care for a date palm and enjoy the elegant tree and perhaps some fruit if you are lucky.
